The Farmer and The Fury by Cherry Burroughs blog tour and book review.

The Farmer and The Fury by Cherry Burroughs.

January 1953. The great North Sea flood devastates much of the east coast of England. The island in the Thames Estuary where George and Annie Hadley run their farm is almost completely submerged. Annie and the four Hadley children try and escape to the mainland, but George must stay behind and attempt to save his animals, his home, and his livelihood. When the waters recede, will anything of their former life remain? The story of George and Annie Hadley is one of gritty determination, enduring love, and the power of nature.

This was a good read. I did like Annie and George. It did feel like I was there with them. 4*.
